It’s important in CrossFit to not to neglect any area of training over another, or to ignore weaknesses. To make you a well-rounded athlete Inner City CrossFit offers specific skill classes to focus on those weak spots. Choose between Olympic Lifting, Power Lifting, Yoga, Endurance, Gymnastics, Fit Kids, and Circuit.
This class focuses primarily on improving the technical execution of the snatch, clean and jerk and related lifts. In each session athletes can expect to snatch or clean and jerk, perform dynamic pulling drills, and perform skill transfer drills and other supplemental exercises for the olympic lifts. Our Coaches are fully accredited and have a number of years experience in both coaching and competing.
GYMNASTICS FOR CROSSFIT
Learn the skills, drills and progressions to execute the gymnastic movements used in CrossFit like pull-ups, ring work, handstand holds and handstand walking. Gymnastic conditioning is a lengthy process and relies on a strong core. This class is suitable for anyone wanting to improve their conditioning for these bodyweight style exercises.
Endurance is a calorie burning, high intensity interval training class that uses running, rowing, stationary bikes, assault bike, skipping, plyometrics and sleds. These workouts are designed to maximise aerobic power and lactate threshold whilst increasing endurance and stamina. Participants will also learn correct technique for rowing and running, with specific warm up drills to have you running and rowing efficiently.
This class is perfect for members who want to compete in Power Lifting or Strongman, or members who want to get stronger to improve their workouts. Our strength sessions are designed to increase you deadlift, squat, and bench, whilst also incorporating accessory work to benefit your compound movements.
Inner City CrossFit’s Fit Kids program is designed to both educate your child on the importance of exercise, as well as preparing their mind and body for optimal growth and development whilst having fun. We have two classes for different age groups, ages 6-10 and ages 10+.
This class is a boot camp style class using a variety of equipment like kettlebells, tyres, dumbbells, body weight, battle ropes and sand bags to give you an all over workout whilst getting huffy puffy.
A 45 minute workout using just a kettlebell! This class will refine your form while giving you a great all over workout.
